WATER AND SANITATION

Kadoma just completed the next phase and upgraded to its new water storage capacity and water works and completed an additional storage facility of 400 kilolitre acating to a total storage water harvest and storage capacity of some 1 million liters of potable water at any given time . As part of our efforts to ensure sustainable water supply to Tweefontein and Steelpoort Industrial Park we engaged in Hydrogeological investigations and drilling and equip to an additional three boreholes in order to maximize the groundwater sources available to Kadoma. Several boreholes were drilled on Portion 15 of the Farm Tweefontein 360 KT. Three of the boreholes were tested and the combined additional yield of the three boreholes is 264.672 kilolitre per day. The boreholes are now equipped and incorporated in the water supply system network providing domestic potable water supply to Kadoma and Tweefontein.

ELECTRICAL SUPPLY

Kadoma / Freedom together with consultants went through an additional energy consumption survey exercise regarding electrical energy metering and are all the energy meters have been replaced with smart energy meters. In our efforts to become more energy efficient we are constantly replacing items like street light fittings with Solar energized fittings. In line with legislation Kadoma / Freedom Property has applied to NERSA to be registered as a reseller of electricity, which approval we are awaiting.

NEW BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REFURBISHMENT

  • The new 1192B also know as the new AMS Building, was finished and commissioned in the last quarter of 2024
  • The refurbishment of 1197 is ongoing and we are comfortable that this process will be completed by the end of 2026
  • With the assistance and guidelines of our internal quality control process, corrective actions were taken to ensure that all buildings are inspected on a regular basis. A comprehensive maintenance plan is now in place to ensure that repair work and preventative maintenance is carried out timeously to ensure that the value of our property will be maintained.

TWEEFONTEIN TOWN PLANNING, REZONING AND SUBDIVISION

Tweefontein Town Planning work is being done on Portion 15 of the farm Tweefontein 360-KT, in extent of 290.1649 hectares and registered in the name of Kadoma Investments (Pty) Ltd

The proposed subdivision and rezoning relate to a farm portion, which has not been used for farming purposes for many years and with no agricultural value or potential, while situated within a growing and predominantly mining and industrial area of Steelpoort. The intention is to subdivide the property into four (4) portions, creating sections to be aligned for mining related industry and service delivery land use purposes.
